axpand connect - Interfaces Including WMS
The new WMS functionality in axpand allows for even more possibilities for creating and producing map products. A request for a web map service is issues using a URL, which is the address of the WMS server. By using the Coordinate Reference System, the WMS image is fetched and placed in the drawing area of axpand expert - the viewing and graphic drawing area in axpand. The WMS image shows the exact coordinates of the corner points. An existing map image can be placed on top of the WMS image and, where necessary, be made transparent so both images can be viewed at the same time.
