Axes Systems

Axes Systems' opened its doors today to one of the next generation's computer programmers and users. Christopher Borbach, a long-term employee of Axes Systems, invited his son Vito to spend a day at Axes Systems looking over his shoulder and learning a bit about what his dad does at work all day.

Vito also spent some time trying out the cartography system axpand. 'It is really cool', he said. 'I didn't really understand what my dad was doing all day, but now I do. Or at least I understand more than I did before.' When asked whether he wanted to be a developer when he finishes school he answered, 'I'm not really sure yet. Maybe I want to make maps instead.'

Axes Systems actively participates in educational activities mainly by employing interns and supporting part-time employees while they complete their career-accompanied educations. The widest known educational atlas, the Diercke Atlas' is produced by Westermann Verlag using Axes Systems' cartography system axpand.

Axes Systems hopes to be able to participate in Son and Daughter Day in the years to come!
