The axpand anniversary package includes interfaces to GIS (ESRI Shape) and graphic systems (for migrating Illustrator, Freehand maps), full configuration, multiple representations, map styling, editing and map layout and finishing functionality for producing output for high quality print and raster products. This package also includes a number of state-of-the-art automation components such as axpand Label for label placement, axpand Grid for creation and labelling of grids and axpand Genesys for generalization tasks including selection, aggregation, simplification and displacement.

The axpand anniversary package includes all of the functionality necessary for creating multiple scale and thematic maps from the same data set using varying style sheets. axpand supports various line types including Splines, Beziers and Arcs by default . Data can be output in multiple output formats including .eps, .pdf, postscript raster in the form of TIFF and GeoTIFF. Vector data can be exported in Shape format. Pre-press configuration includes advanced color separation.
